Poland amends the list of fortified substances added to food

On March 20, 2024, the Polish Ministry of Health issued a notice revising the list of fortified substances added to food, which will take effect 14 days after the date of the notice. Main contents:

 

(1) The maximum content of vitamin A in the smeared fat is 900ug/100g (equivalent to 3000IU), and the maximum content of vitamin D is 7.5ug/100g (equivalent to 300IU);

 

(2) Add potassium iodide or potassium iodate in table salt, and the maximum iodine content is 2.3 (±0.77) mg /100g;

 

(3) A list of substances other than vitamins and minerals prohibited in food production. Including: potassium hydrochloride, 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine, Evodiamine , Hordenine, jalapeno pepper and other 24 kinds;

 

(4) Transition period. From the date of entry into force of the regulation, the maximum period of marketing of previously produced food products in Poland is allowed to be 30 days.
