The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has approved amendments to the technical regulations on "Food Safety" and "Food Labeling", which are mainly related to the question of whether the labels need to be replaced in case of change of information on the producer's production address, reference is made to the following:
According to the requirements of the EAEU's technical regulations on food safety, producers need to change food labels in case of change of information on city, region, street, etc. Article 39 of the newly revised Technical Regulation stipulates that within 36 months after the change of above information, it is permitted to use the previous names of cities, districts, streets, etc., for the circulation of food products, as long as there is no change in the actual geographic location of the producer and the place of production.
In addition, article 4 of the technical regulation on food labeling provides a feasible method of providing consumers with timely and reliable information on the location of food production.
The amendment will enter into force 180 days after its official publication on the official website.
