GACC Announcement No. 53 of 2024 (Announcement on Phytosanitary Requirements for the Import of Fresh Blueberries from Serbia)

On May 8, 2024, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) issued Announcement No. 53 of 2024, announcing that from now on, fresh blueberries that meet the relevant requirements are allowed to be imported.

 

The orchards, packaging plants and cold treatment facilities of blueberries exported to China must be reviewed and filed with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of Serbia (hereinafter referred to as the Serbian side) and approved for registration by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese side). The registration information includes name, address and registration number for accurate traceability in the event that the export goods do not comply with the requirements of this announcement. Before the annual export season, Serbia shall provide the Chinese side with the registration list, which shall be published on the Chinese official website after China's examination and approval.

 

At the same time, the announcement also detailed the relevant requirements for imports, including packaging requirements, quarantine requirements, etc.
