According to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on June 21, 2024, the Commission issued Regulation (EU) No 2024/1730 authorizing the use of benzoic acid as a feed additive for weaned and fattened piglets in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Under the conditions set out in the Annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive in the category "technical additives" and in the functional group "other technical additives for animals". The authorization expires on July 11, 2034. This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day from the date of its publication.
