On June 25, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to zero import duties on coconut shred (CN FEA code 0801110000) for a period of time (inclusive) until July 31, 2027.

Dried and crushed coconut (shredded coconut) is the product of coconut processing, which is mainly used in the production of sweets (chocolate, confectionery), as well as cakes, pastries, biscuits and other similar products. about 20% of coconut shred is used by other industries (perfumes, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals), and the current import duty rate for coconut silk is 3%.

The decision shall take effect 30 days after its official publication.
