South Korea added omeprazole to the list of overseas food ingredients banned from import

On July 8, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued Notice No. 2024-328, adding omeprazole as the raw material ingredient of overseas food products prohibited to be imported into Korea in the Guidance for Designating and Lifting the Ban on the import of Domestic and Overseas Food Products, as shown in the following table:
