1. General Administration of Customs: the tests for imported meats COVID-19 are negative
From June 11 to 17, 2020, GACC inspected a total of 68,218 batches of 8 categories of food and agricultural products including imported meat, aquatic products, dairy products, cosmetics, cereal oilseeds, fruits, live animals, seeds and flowers. The total weight of goods was 3.47 million tons and the value were 2.693 billion US dollars, 42 batches of unqualified products were detected, which weighed 358.15 tons and valued 697,700 US dollars.
During the same period, GACC samples of imported meat, aquatic products, vegetables, fruits, aquatic animals, short-term or low-temperature transportation industrial products, and their packaging and operating environment. A total of 32174 samples were tested for New COVID-19, including 8274 samples of goods, 20833 samples of packaged products, 3067 environmental samples, the results are negative.
2. The General Administration of Customs suspends the export of a German pork product to China
Since June 17, China Customs has suspended the export of products from a German pork slaughtering company and its division and refrigeration company.
According to the bilateral cooperation agreement, the German official competent authority informed the GACC that a German pork slaughtering company registered in China confirmed the occurrence of a COVID-19 aggregate infection. According to the Chinese request, the German side has suspended the export of the enterprise (DE NW-ES 202 EG) and its division and cold storage enterprise (DE EZ 917 EG) to China.
GACC has updated the "List of Meat Products Exported to China from Countries or Regions that Meet the evaluation Requirements", suspending the import of products from this German company. The products that have arrived or are about to arrive in Hong Kong will be temporarily suspended by the customs department.
