On January 21, the Harbin Municipal Government reported 10 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 31 asymptomatic carriers. Among them, there are 38 employees of Heilongjiang C.P. Industrial Co., Ltd. and 3 are family members of employees of this enterprise.

At present, the company’s food factory has been sealed and subjected to comprehensive nucleic acid testing for products, environment, and personnel. The disease control department conducted two consecutive samples of 1,650 samples from the factory on January 19 and 20. The positive results showed in dirty area corridor of slaughter workshop, clean area corridors and locker room environment, the cold storage environment and the food outer packaging. In addition, the disease control department conducts sampling and nucleic acid testing on products that have been removed from the shelves. As of 8:00 am on January 22, a total of 62,111 samples were tested and 43,712 samples were showed negative results. Other samples are still being tested.
