The EU revises mandatory inspection measures for aflatoxins in Chinese peanut products
On April 14, 2021, the Official Journal of the European Union published Commission Regulation No. 2021/608, amending (EU) Implementation Regulation No. 2019/1793 "Regulations on Temporary Increase of Official Control Measures for Certain Third-Country Source Foods." The contents of this amendment related to our country are:
Adjust the domestic peanut products (including shelled, shelled, peanut butter and other products) originally located in Annex II of Regulation (EU) No. 2019/1793 to Annex 1.
At the same time, the frequency of official mandatory border inspections for aflatoxin edging of such products has been adjusted from 20% to 10%.
The regulation will take effect 20 days after its publication in the official gazette.
