US adds Malaysia to the list of areas affected by African swine fever


According to the US Federal news, on July 6, 2021, APHIS published No. 2021-14255 file, which add Malaysia to the list of areas affected by African swine fever.

It is understood that on February 19, 2021, the Malaysian veterinary authority reported to the US APHIS about the occurrence of the African swine fever epidemic in the country. In response to the epidemic, the US APHIS added Malaysia to the list of areas affected by African swine fever on March 2, 2021. Therefore, pork and pork products (including casings) exported from Malaysia to the United States will be subject to import restrictions.
