Japan revises "Regarding Food Labeling Standards"


 

On September 15, the Consumer Agency of Japan issued Announcement No. 389 of the Digestion Table, which is now revising the "Appendix GM Food Inspection Methods that have passed safety review" in the "Regarding Food Labeling Standards". This time, a new method has been added to detect whether there are unintentionally introduced genetically modified agricultural products in non-GMO soybean grains and corn grains that have been separately produced and distributed, and the equipment that can be used in the current detection methods has been added.
