Canada revised the corresponding food classification in the pesticide residue limit regulation
On December 10, 2021, the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) issued a guidance document to revise the corresponding food, feed and other product classifications in the pesticide residue limit regulations. The main contents of the revision include:
(1) Revise the original crop group 6 (beans and vegetables) to crop group 6-21, and add cowpea (fresh or dry) to the product range;
(2) Revise the original crop Group 15 (grain) to crop group 15-21, and add millet and other foods to the product range;
(3) The original crop group 19 (herbs and spices) was divided into two parts, namely crop group 25 (herbs) and crop group 26 (spices).
The amendment shall take effect from the date of issuance.
