On February 18, 2022, the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs updated the import wine certificate and labelling requirements:

(1) Wine entering the UK (England, Scotland and Wales) no longer needs to provide a VI-1 certificate. If wine from outside the EU is imported directly into Northern Ireland, a VI-1 certificate will be required;

(2) If the wine is produced from 2 May 2021, the address of the UK importer or bottler must be marked and cannot be affixed EU importer or bottler's label. imported wines sold into Northern Ireland must use the name and address of the importer or bottler (in the case of bulk imports) in the EU or Northern Ireland on the label.
