Recently, a specific batch of Kinder products manufactured in Belgium has been voluntarily recalled due to suspected association with salmonella. On the evening of April 9, Ferrero China issued a statement on its official Weibo account in response to the incident. Ferrero China has assured consumers that the full range of Kinder products manufactured in China and products imported into the mainland, including in-transit and official channels for sale), are not covered by the recall because they are not connected to the Belgian manufacturing plant in question.

Meanwhile, Ferrero has suspended production at its Arlon plant in Belgium and is actively cooperating with local food safety authorities to investigate the salmonella issue.
