The 2022 Food Safety and Management Conference was broadcast live on our online platform. This time, we invited more than 30 experts from the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), General Administration of Customs (GAC), local regulatory authorities, and food associations to discuss issues related to food safety compliance and food quality with more than 400 audiences.
On the morning of the 15th, the conference opened. Li Yuanzhao, founder of Foodmate, and Zhao Yanxia, President of China Food and Drug Quality Promotion Association, gave opening speeches, introducing the background and purpose of the conference, aiming to promote the healthy development of the food industry and share the latest domestic and foreign food industry information including standards and regulations, production, research, quality management and testing technology.
Then, Director Yu, Deputy Secretary of China National Light Industry Council, analyzed the corresponding changes and future trends in Chinese food industry, which is a new challenge for Chinese food companies and also brings new opportunities. Experts from CFSA introduced the construction and achievements of China's current food safety standard framework system to the participants.
In addition, expert from the General Administration of Customs gave participants a speech on the import and export food supervision under the new situation. As we all known, in recent years, with the development of economic globalization, the import and export of food trade has also grown rapidly. At the same time, the global food supply chain is becoming more and more complex. China customs fully consider the characteristics of imported and exported food, and build a whole-process governance system for imported and exported food safety. In April 2021, the General Administration of Customs issued Decree No. 248 and 249, which attracted widespread attention from the international community and the industry. After a year, the industry's attention to the new requirements for import and export food supervision and the registration of imported food production enterprises has not subsided.
Starting from the afternoon of the 15th, the conference is divided into two live room to be held simultaneously, which are the Food regulation live room and Food quality live room.
In the Food regulation live room, experts shared topics such as food sampling inspection, food standard formulation and revision, hygiene standards for catering, dairy product standards, special foods, and food-related products.
Mr. Gong, senior researcher of the Safety and Compliance Department of Foodmate, analyzed the key points and typical cases of food label review.
In recent years, the output value of health food in China has maintained a continuous growth trend. In order to further standardize the health food market order and implement the main responsibility of health food operators, China has carried out a lot of work in health food safety supervision, regulation and policy formulation. Mr. Tian from the Development Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation shared the research on the current situation and development trend of health food supervision.
Finally, we also invited the relevant regulatory leaders from the Food Industry Association, COFCO, Xibei Catering, PepsiCo, and Junlebao Dairy to discuss the current situation and development of food compliance management.
In the Food quality live room, experts from the State Administration for Market Regulation shared topics such as agricultural product certification management, supplier risk management, toxicological evaluation, food safety management, on-site inspection, and risk assessment.
Because the consultation draft of the BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard (Ninth Edition) began to be collected opinions in December 2021, and the new version of the standard will also be released in August 2022, what are the key changes in the new version of the standard?
