On April 12, 2022, the Administration of Competition, Consumer and Fraud of France (DGCCRF) released a special nutrients inspection report of infant formula milk powder. Inspectors checked 45 companies from production stage, supermarkets and pharmaceutical factory, and collected 43 powder preparation samples. For each sample, the technical staff did 115 analysis, involving 60 nutrient components including energy content, macronutrients such as protein and fat composition, and micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals. The results showed that out of 43 products inspected, 8 samples had nutrient content inconsistent with the monitoring, and 84% of the products had unqualified labels. Of the 45 institutions inspected, 8 found defective.
