On 23 April 2022, Mongolia urgently reported to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) that sheep pox and goat pox occurred in one farm in the provinces of Hentiy, Dornod and Sühbaatar between 11 and 12 April, involving 2,747 sheep, of which 95 were infected and 13 died. In order to protect the safety of animal husbandry in China and prevent the introduction of the epidemic disease, in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China and the Law of the Entry and Exit Quarantine of Animal and Plant of the People's Republic of China , the announcement is hereby made as follows.
