On 31 May 2022, the Kenya Standards Authority website published four drafts of food standards, including:
peanut butter standard" (DEAS60:2022),
"edible cottonseed oil standard" (DEAS298:2022),
"edible peanut kernels (raw and cooked) standard" (DEAS888:2022),
"peanut kernels for oil extraction standard" (DEAS889:2022) draft,
The main contents include product definition and classification, raw and auxiliary materials use requirements, sensory and quality requirements, hygiene standards, packaging and labeling regulations, sampling and testing methods and items, etc.
The solicitation period for comments on the above draft standards will end on July 22, 2022.
