Russia reported antibiotic residues found in imported Belorussian infant food

In the course of continuous laboratory monitoring of imported foods, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision has detected residues of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ingredients in children's food produced by two Belarusian companies. The information is as follows:

(1) Belfood Production Ltd. : Children's food: vegetable puree "beef and vegetable lasagna" with ciprofloxacin and enrofloxacin residues;
(2) IVI Avoljush: Canned "beef pureed" for infants over 6 months of age with Meloxicam (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug)residue ; Turkey puree for infants with Enrofloxacin residue.

"Above 2 Belarus companies were subjected to intensive laboratory testing because its products were tested unqualified for the first time," the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision said. If the product is disqualified again during the intensive laboratory testing, the product will be temporarily banned from being exported to Russia.
