The price of raw coffee beans in South Korea has fallen sharply since August

According to local media reports of South Korean, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced : following the Exemption of additional tax on imported raw coffee beans (28 June) in order to ease the imports cost burden, all imported coffee beans are applicable to import tariff quotas starting on July 20, domestic coffee beans circulation price declines will be further expanded.
By exempting the additional tax, the domestic coffee industry that uses raw beans will not only be able to ease the burden of import costs, but will also be able to enjoy additional benefits such as tax deduction and improved cash flow, which is expected to reduce price hikes for coffee consumers.
