The resolution on expanding the list of quarantine pests of the Eurasian Economic Union will come into force soon

On September 4, 2022, the resolution of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the inclusion of 11 new quarantine pests in the Eurasian Economic Union's Unified List of Quarantine Pests will take effect, with the following additions:
 
        -- Ceratitis rosa (Karsch)
        -- Diabrotica speciosa (Germar)
        -- Epitrix subcrinita (LeConte)
        -- Ips emarginatus (LeConte)
        -- Pseudips mexicanus (Hopkins)
        -- Rhagoletis indifferens (Curran)
        -- Spodoptera exempta (Walker)
        -- Strauzia longipennis (Wiedemann)
        -- Xiphinema americanum sensu stricto Cobb
        -- Xiphinema bricolense Ebsary, Vrain & Graham
        -- Xiphinema californicum Lamberti & Bleve-Zacheo
     
The quarantine pest invasion and spread in the union may cause harm and nursery stock over a variety of vegetable crops, potato, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, squash, lettuce), fruit crops (apple, pear, papaya, plum, cherry, grape), grain and oil crops, sunflower, corn, rice, soybeans, oats, sorghum) , etc.
Starting from Sept 4, 2022, controlled products imported into the Eurasian Economic Union will be checked for new quarantinable pests.
