Russia's federal quality control agency ROSKACHESTVO is considering the possibility of imposing restrictive measures on exports of red caviar and red fish, the agency's head Ilya said at the Eastern Economic Forum.

The official said, since the estimated catch of red fish is quite low, it is necessary to take necessary restrictive measures such as export restrictions and export tariffs to maintain the rationality of the price.

The group has now asked Russia's agriculture ministry to impose export restrictions on red fish and caviar, and the Federal Fisheries Agency may also impose a ban on red fish exports.
