Russian Federation Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) reported on July 7: From June 22 to July 6, 2021, the import and Export Food Safety Bureau of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China conducted video investigations on 4 Russian poultry manufacturer and 1 beef manufacturer, and the inspected enterprises can export related products to China after being registered.

During the inspection, the Chinese side assessed whether the above-mentioned enterprises meet China's veterinary and sanitary requirements and whether the measures taken by the enterprises to prevent and control the COVID-19 are effective. The areas of special attention include: the veterinary and sanitary conditions of slaughtered products, monitoring points of the Russian State Veterinary Department in the process of slaughtering and receiving animals, temperature control, management based on the HACCP system, disinfection status of vehicles, places and equipment for exporting products to China, etc.

China also emphasizes that Russia must observe the principle of non-intersection of the circulation of meat and by-products.

In the near future, China will notify Rosselkhoznadzor the results of the video inspection.
