The United States exempts residual limits for potassium carbonate

On August 5, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Regulation 2024-17003 exempting Potassium Carbonate residue limits.

 

According to the regulations, when potassium carbonate is used as a biochemical fungicide in accordance with label instructions and good agricultural practice, it is exempted from the residue limit in or on all foods.

 

This rule takes effect on August 5, 2024, and requests for objections or hearings must be filed by October 4, 2024.
