Taiwan revised the list of required documents for imported food application and inspection

On September 20, 2024, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MHWF) of Taiwan, China issued FDA Circular No. 1132004206, amending the List of Required documents for imported Foods, which will be implemented as of the date of issuance. The main content:

 

(1) The safety of adding enzymes and spice ingredients to food: adding the original manufacturer's description of the product's processing procedures, product specifications, international regulations and standards;

 

(2) When there are inconsistencies in food labels in terms of name, allergens, expiration date, ingredient content, etc., the description of the expiration date of the product from the original manufacturer, the content of the ingredient or food additives, the nutritional content, the reason for inconsistencies in labels, packing lists, and relevant translation documents, etc. should also be provided;

 

(3) Other issues, etc.
