Recently, the U.S. fast-food chain giant McDonald's broke out in a food safety scandal: the company stores sold a beef burger was found to be excessive E. coli bacteria, dozens of people consumed after the symptoms of discomfort, the victims of which someone has died. CNN (CNN) reported on the 22nd, the E. coli outbreak between September 27 and October 11, is now known to be infected with 49 cases, concentrated in the Midwest region of the United States, of which Colorado has the highest number of patients, a total of 27 cases diagnosed, Nebraska diagnosed 9 cases, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon and Utah, and other places there are patients. Of the total number of confirmed cases, one elderly person has sadly died and 10 others still require further treatment.
Health department investigations have learned that most of these patients have consumed a McDonald's burger food - “four ounces of beef burger” (Quarter Pounder). This beef burger is one of the staple products of McDonald's in the U.S., with an average daily sales of about 110,000 units.The CDC has issued a food safety warning on the 22nd, reminding those who experienced the above mentioned uncomfortable symptoms to seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
The CDC official website released a notice that the source of the infection that led to the outbreak may come from the “four ounces of beef burger” used in the shredded onions and beef patties, the CDC staff is currently to further determine the source of the infection.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also launched an investigation, in addition to traceability, but also to determine whether the problem ingredients are used in other food service units.

Even so, the scandal has hit McDonald's market capitalization hard: McDonald's stock plunged 7 percent before the market opened on Wednesday, according to Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC).
