Cambodia hopes to export durian and birds nest to China

Deng Cai, Director General of the General Directorate of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, was present on the 25th to preside over the official release meeting of the document on cashew nut planting area in Cambodia, during which he expressed his expectation on the direct export of durian and bird's nest to China next year.

  

Deng Cai said that over the years, Cambodia has exported more than 30 kinds of processed and fresh agricultural products to China, covering a wide range of categories such as longan, rice, Pailin longan, cassava, maize, Kao Romy mango, and Ampeng banana. He revealed that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is currently in the final stage of negotiation with China, striving to successfully realize the direct export of durian and bird's nest next year.

  

This development will further promote the expansion of international markets for Cambodian agricultural products and create more income opportunities for farmers.
