Nov 26, 2024 - Bangladesh's Ministry of Commerce has approved the import of 188 million eggs by another 42 companies, according to Asian AgriBusiness News. The government hopes the move will stabilise prices and ensure egg supply. The import permits are valid until 31 January 2025, according to Agribusiness Asia. Since October, nearly 50 companies have been allowed to import about 300 million eggs. Bangladesh's daily demand for eggs is 40-50 million.
