December 19, 2024, according to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on December 18, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2024/3196 amending Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council on pesticide residues in food with regard to radish leaves. The main amendments include:

(1) Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 is amended in accordance with the provisions of the regulation, including: deletion of footnote 3; amendment of the provisions on the scope of application of pesticide residues in radish leaves; insertion of a new entry for "small radish leaves" (0251060-001) after "arugula" (0251060-001) (0251060-002) after "arugula" (0251060-001). The entry for "radish leaves" (0243020-008) is replaced by the following, as set out in the table below;

(2) The Regulation enters into force on the 20th day after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Regulation is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
