Unqualified foods came from 18 countries or regions (products from Taiwan area, 42 batches, were the most, following with 40 batches from US).
The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were: illegal food label issues (39 batches), filthy and rotten issue (31 batches), inconsistent of goods with documents (19 batches) and unqualified packaging (11 batches).
Unqualified cosmetics came from South Korea, France and Russia. The rejection reason were inconsistent of goods with documents, past of expiration date and without required certificates or qualified documents.
The above mentioned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GAC.
