Poland revises rules on dietary supplement ingredients

On September 15, 2022, the official website of the Polish Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) published its resolutions No. 3 and No. 4 of 2022. Among them,

(1) Resolution 3 updated the list of banned ingredients in dietary supplements, adding four banned ingredients in dietary supplements: evodiamine, selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), higenamine, and hordenine.


(2) Resolution 4 repeals its original resolution 2/2019 on the inclusion of aloe leaf preparations (extracts, juices and gels) in dietary supplements in accordance with EU Regulation 2021/468.
