Taiwan: Import risk tips - a batch of soy sauce ramen in Japan detected excessive pesticide residues

On November 15, 2022, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration released a list of unqualified food for border inspection, showing that a batch of Japanese Niigata noodles have been detected excessive pesticide residues in axunge & soy sauce ramen.

Announcement shows that the Japanese manufacturer or exporter called ヤマダイ co., LTD headquarters, the importer in Taiwan for the faithful international development enterprise co., LTD., products branded as ニュータッチ.

 

The batch of axunge & soy sauce ramen’s seasoning was detected with residual pesticide ethylene oxide 0.145 mg/kg. This case does not comply with the provisions of Article 15 of the Food Safety and Hygiene Administration Law on "Allowable standards for pesticide residues".

 

A total of 74.40 kilograms of substandard products were returned or destroyed.
