Australia revised the maximum residue limits for some foodstuffs like Bentazone

Notice F2023C00001 was published on the website of the Commonwealth Register of Australia on 3 January 2023, amending Schedule 20 of the Codex Alimentarius to amend the maximum residue limits for a number of agricultural and veterinary drugs, including Bentazone. The food types involved include milk, for which the revised MRLS are 0.02mg/kg, compared with the current MRLS of 0.01mg/kg. The announcement shall take effect as of the date of publication of the communique.
