On February 6, 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) issued Draft No. 550003650, which intends to revise the method for the determination of catechins in green tea. The feedback period ends on March 7, 2023. Main revisions: 

(1) Modify the format of reference standards to match the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); 

(2) Add relevant definitions and detection principles to add the method of filtering extracts through membrane filters; revise some definitions in the detection methods.
