South Korea issues directive banning sale of humanoid food

On April 17, 2023, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drugs (MFDS) issued a directive prohibiting the sale of humanoid food. According to Article 9 of the "Children's Food Safety Management Special Act", it is prohibited to sell foods that cause disgust due to the shape of a person (including the shape of a skeleton) and the shape of a specific part such as a person's head, arms, and legs (including a shape representing a skeleton) These part); it is prohibited to produce, process, import, cook, store, transport, and display products for sale or as food for children with emotional disorders.
