The Eurasian Economic Commission has set supplementary requirements for chocolate, chocolate products and cocoa products

According to the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), on 15 May, within the framework of Amendment No. 3 approved by the Board of Governors of the Commission by decision No. 173 of 25 November 2022, the Eurasian Economic Commission revised the“Inter-Country Standard-Setting Programme on Food Safety”, which set additional requirements for chocolate, chocolate products and cocoa products.

 

The programme of supplementary requirements is complemented by four components, including: the planned development of an inter-country standard on confectionery and semi-finished products of confectionery production - Terminology and definitions; Revised GOST 34383-2018, Glazes and Blocks for Molding for Chocolate, Confectionery and Fat -- General Technical Conditions; Planned revision of GOST 31721-2012 Chocolate; General Technical Conditions and modified GOST 1.
