Thailand exports about 170,000 to 180,000 tons of rice to Hong Kong, of which 70%-80% is Thai jasmine rice. Hong Kong ranks the top three in the Thai jasmine rice market, and Thai rice still occupies the first place in Hong Kong rice market, accounting for about 60% of its market share. Thai rice exports are expected to exceed 8 million tons in 2023.
