On 2 August 2023, the European Commission published Regulation (EU) 2023/1581 which, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Annex to the Revised Conditions of Use (EU) 2017/2470 for novel food astaxanthin-rich oleoresin derived from Haematococcus pluvialis algae. This regulation shall enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The specific revisions are as follows:
