On 22 December, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued a directive to inspect the import of carrageenan from China.
Subject of inspection: Carrageenan from ZHEJIANG TOP HYDROCOLLOIDS CO.
Inspection item: Sulfuric acid base in purity test.
