On December 26, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Presidential Decree No. 34060, amending part of the “Enforcement Decree on Labeling and Advertising Related to Food Products”, which includes: Prior to the revision of the law, labels and advertisements that indirectly have a different understanding of other companies' products are inappropriate labels and advertisements. In order to facilitate consumers' judgment, the new provisions need to emphasize that labels and advertisements of raw materials or ingredients that have not been used are not inappropriate labels and advertisements.
