On 31 January 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) issued Public Notice No. 32446 amending the Codex Alimentarius with effect from the date of issuance. Main contents:

(1) Methods of analysis and maximum limit values determined using the results of international or national studies when adding impermissible ingredients to foods within the scope of the Codex Alimentarius must be published on the official website of the Ministry;

(2) Lemon aioli, lemon sauce, lemon juice and products with similar names may not be sold on the domestic market from 31 December 2024 onwards.
