Chad announced tariff exemption on food imports

On 22 January, Chad's Finance Minister, Guillain, signed a decree announcing the exemption of foodstuffs such as wheat flour, maize, sorghum, buckwheat, millet, canary grass seed, rice, cereal flour, couscous and salt from import duties for the period 22 January to 31 December 2024, which is enforced by Chad's Customs Department.
