Brazil revised standards for food additives

On February 23, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) issued Directive IN No 274 through the Official Gazette, revising the standards for the use of food additives. The specific content is the use range and maximum dosage of three food additives including propylene glycol alginate in some newly formulated foods, as shown in the following table:
