Brazil amended regulations on food supplements

On February 23, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), through the official Gazette, issued Directive No. 275 amending the regulation on food supplements, specifically to include D-ribose in the list of food supplements permitted for use (but not for infants and children aged 0-3 years). For specific groups of people and maximum daily intake, see the table below. The directive enters into force on the date of publication of the communique.
