On February 29, the Italian Ministry of Health issued a recall document for two instant noodles and a mozzarella cheese product.
"Taste" cup noodles
Italian Fanpage reported that the Italian Ministry of Health issued a document saying that the "He flavor" spicy seafood cup noodles and "He Flavor" XO sauce seafood cup noodles produced by Nishin Foods (Hong Kong) Co., LTD., and sold by ITON Company were urgently recalled.
The reason for the recall is that the two products contain unlabeled crustacean DNA, shellfish DNA and casein. The spicy seafood cup noodles were also found to contain unlabeled lactose.
Specific information about the recalled products is as follows:
- Nissin cup noodles spicy seafood flavor, 75g, production lot 40038-1KNMAK2023, shelf life until April 28, 2024;
- Nissin cup noodles XO sauce seafood flavor, 75g, produced in lot 40742KNMAK2023, shelf life until May 26, 2024.
The Italian Ministry of Health reminds consumers who are allergic to crustaceans, shellfish products and lactose not to eat them.
Merivio mozzarella
The Italian Ministry of Health also issued a recall document for the Merivio brand of Mozzarella cheese produced and sold by the Granarolo company in the provinces of Monsa and Brianza. The reason was that the expiration dates of the products were misprinted as March 15, 2023 and March 15, 2025. Specific information is as follows:
Merivio mozzarella, 125g, made in lot LN4050C, shelf life until 15 March 2024.
The Italian Ministry of Health reminds that consumers who have purchased the above products should note that the shelf life of the products is actually March 15 this year.
