On March 19, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2024-127, proposing to amend part of the "Rules for the Implementation of Laws related to Health Functional Foods", the main contents are as follows:

1. Upgrade the current "Excellent Health Functional Food Production Standards" formulated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea to the Prime Minister's order, and revise some relevant provisions of facility standards.

2. based on the results of the investigation and evaluation of the production standards of excellent health functional food in the year, the enterprises over the standard made by the MFDS can be selected as excellent enterprises in the year. The specific matters shall be formulated and announced by the MFDS.
