On May 6, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) issued through the Official Gazette Directive No. 297, amending the standards for the use of food additives (Directive No. 211 issued IN 2023). The specific content is the requirements for the use of various food additives such as tricalcium phosphate in some new foods, some of which are shown in the following table. The directive will come into force on 3 June 2024.
