On June 18, 2024, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration issued a list of unqualified food at the border inspection, showing that the preservative content of a batch of shrimp crispy chips in Indonesia did not meet the requirements.
The notice shows that the Indonesian manufacturer or exporter name is PT. LEGONG BALI NUSANTARA, and the Taiwan importer is Tingli Industrial Co., LTD., and the product brand name is ALOHA.
It is understood that the preservative adienoic acid of 0.2g/kg was detected in the batch of shrimp flavor crisp. According to the "scope of use and limit and specification standards of food additives", the products in the case are not listed as permitted food scope, and the case does not meet the provisions of Article 18 of the Food safety and Health Administration Law.
A total of 1,200.00 kg of substandard products were returned or destroyed.
