South Korea adjusted fines for selling dangerous imported foods

On July 2, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued Presidential Order No. 34664, amending part of the "Implementation Order of the Special Law on the Administration of imported Food Safety", which includes:

 

The penalty for selling dangerous imported food is twice the amount of the sales volume multiplied by the sales price. Depending on the content, degree, and frequency of the violation, the penalty can be reduced by half of the penalty amount.
