On June 28, 2024, the Food and Drug Authority of Thailand issued Notice No. 450 approving the labeling regulations for pre-packaged foods.

The main contents of the regulation include terms and definitions, mandatory labeling information categories (name, ingredient list, production date and shelf life, warning or reminder, etc.) and labeling requirements (including font, size, color, arrangement order, display position, food additive specification name, etc.), selective labeling information categories and labeling requirements (such as trademark names), and labeling Requirements for the claimed use of food ingredients (e.g. no claims that do not contain ingredients prohibited by law, such as milk labels that do not contain "preservative-free" claims), exemptions and products.

The regulation will take effect after its official publication in the government Gazette, with a transition period of two years.
